We’re searching for an experienced Afternoon Shift Manager to join our team at Laminex. This is a salaried role with a 17.5% loading, working from 4pm to midnight. Responsibilities

Manage the distribution centre’s PM operations, ensuring delivery in full and on time through effective labour resourcing, fleet allocation, and outstanding customer service.

Continually evaluate and improve warehouse efficiency using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

Identify root causes of issues, implement proactive action plans, and ensure policy compliance.

Implement current technologies, processes, and policies to enhance overall warehouse efficiency while maintaining a zero-harm environment.

Build strong relationships with other departments to maintain effective communication channels across all business units.

Influence, engage, and promote a high‑performing team.

Qualifications

Leadership Skills: A strong leader who can foster a high-performing culture and influence key stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Experience using continuous improvement tools to drive process efficiency and accuracy.

Operational Excellence: Knowledge of business planning systems for distribution and inventory management.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.

Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

Relevant Experience

Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and WMS.

Experience in supply chain scheduling, warehouse planning, and analysis.

Understanding of OH&S; and COR legislation and responsibilities.

Proven track record in managing teams and developing people through training.

High level of business awareness and understanding of inter‑relationships between functions.
