In this role, you will ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities remain secure, functional, and well‐maintained for residents, staff and visitors.As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the on‐going repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility. You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our ILUs and RAC facility remain safe, presentable and operational.* Carry out ground's maintenance, on‐going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture* Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions* Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility* Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S; issues to maintain a safe environment* Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems* Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident‐focused team environment**What you’ll bring:**You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional resident-centred care.To thrive in this role, you will have:* Strong time management, organisational and communication skills* A compassionate, flexible and solutions‐focused approach* The ability to build respectful relationships and work both independently and within a team* Previous maintenance experience (trade background or qualification preferred but not essential)* Experience in Aged Care or hotel/hospital settings (highly regarded)* Proficient computer skills: experience with maintenance management systems is an advantage* Good knowledge of WHS/OH&S; standards and regulatory maintenance requirements for aged care and independent living* Experience managing contractors and understanding of essential systems such as HVAC, essential services, and Building 9C regulations**You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:*** A current Police Record Check* Trade based qualification or more than 3 years’ experience in a commercial maintenance position.* Current driver’s licence.Join us and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives
