Prime opportunity to join our Pathways and Engagement team.
- Fixed Term until 31 Dec 2025, full-time position.
- HEW7 level + 17% Super.

**About the Role** The Student Success Coach Team Lead oversees the VET Student Success Program and manages a team of Coaches working across VET Teaching Departments. Student Success Coaches respond to the needs of students and develop a range of programs to enhance the student experience. They also support students ‘at risk’ of non-completion by providing a range of supports and interventions aimed at maximising the student’s ability to complete their course of study and successfully transition onto further study and/or employment.

The Team Lead role requires a highly motivated worker with deep understanding of the vocational education and training system and experienced in designing and implementing a broad range of educational supports, both academic and personal to priority cohorts of diverse learners. The role will maintain a case load of students as a Student Success Coach (approx. FTE 0.2). This role reports to the Manager, Student Engagement within the Pathways and Engagement Department, VET.

**About You** To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 1. Demonstrated experience in related work and study assistance including vocational assistance, study support, wellbeing or career guidance and or employment services. 2. Demonstrated experience in the management of a team to produce quality service outcomes. 3. High-level organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks to tight timelines. 4. A proven record of managing customer enquiries and a demonstrated commitment to customer service including follow up and closure activities. 5. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated IT skills including advanced skills in MS Office and experience in management information and database systems. 6. Demonstrated ability to engage and build trust with service users and staff from diverse backgrounds. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including government and community service providers. 8. Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work effectively in a team environment across a tertiary institution to achieve outcomes.
