Social Worker, Grade 2 SECASA (Clayton) (Melbourne)

About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a Grade 2 Social Worker or Psychologist to join the Primary Prevention Program / Education and Training Team at SECASA. This part‑time (0.6 EFT), fixed term opportunity runs until June 2027. Working under the guidance of the Primary Prevention / Education and Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in promoting respectful relationships, personal safety and preventing sexual assault and family violence across schools and community settings. This dynamic role involves designing, coordinating and delivering engaging education and training programs for:
- Primary and secondary school students
- Early learning centres
- Parents and carers
- Teachers and education staff
- Community groups and professionals Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training and workshops on respectful relationships, personal safety and violence prevention.
- Facilitate specialist education sessions on sexual assault and family violence prevention.
- Develop and review training resources and program materials.
- Coordinate education sessions and respond to stakeholder enquiries.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and incorporate participant feedback.
- Support community engagement and collaborative partnerships.
- Participate in research, evaluation and continuous quality improvement activities. About You You are an experienced and passionate Social Worker or Psychologist with robust facilitation and communication skills and a commitment to preventing gender‑based violence.
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work or Psychology and eligibility for professional registration or membership.
- Experience delivering education, training or group facilitation programs.
- Knowledge of sexual assault, family violence and respectful relationships frameworks.
- Understanding of the societal drivers and impacts of gender‑based violence.
- Ability to engage effectively with schools, community organisations and diverse audiences.
