Finance Officer/Specialist, Victoria Racing Club (Melbourne)

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Finance Officer/Specialist to support operations at Victoria Racing Club (VRC) in Flemington, Melbourne. As Finance Officer/Specialist, you will deliver accurate and timely financial processing across invoicing, receipting, revenue reconciliations, and debtor management, supporting strong controls and key deadlines. - Process and reconcile weekly site revenue, maintaining accurate balance sheet and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Prepare, issue, and reconcile customer invoices, manage receipting and debtor accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Monitor aged receivables, follow up overdue payments, and escalate high-risk accounts as required
- Conduct supplier and customer account reconciliations and investigate variances through to resolution
- Assist with monthly financial reporting while maintaining audit‑ready documentation and compliance with internal policies and external standards
- Partner with operations and the finance team to improve processes, communicate updates clearly, and meet business deadlines More About You
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in accounts receivable and end‑to‑end invoicing and collections
- Familiarity with financial systems and POS platforms, with hospitality or events experience desirable
- Robust attention to detail, initiative, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Solid financial acumen and clear communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders
