Job Overview

Border Express is an industry leading national transport company, and we’re currently seeking an experienced MC Linehaul Driver to join our growing team.

This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity operating a Melbourne to Holbrook changeover linehaul run every night Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for completing a scheduled overnight linehaul run from our Cranbourne depot to our Sydney depot, leaving Monday and Wednesday nights and returning the following night, and a Friday night Tarcutta changeover so you are back home for the weekend.

Operate our up-to-date Mercedes Actross prime mover and cart a Tautliner B double‑trailer configuration of general freight.

Consistent start times leaving the depot between 6:00–8:30 pm and direct, well‑planned runs.

Key Responsibilities

Complete Melbourne to Holbrook changeover linehaul run.

Open and close trailer curtains as required.

Strap and unstrap freight as required.

Complete all required paperwork and driver documentation.

Operate in line with fatigue, safety, and compliance requirements.

Maintain a high standard of professionalism and reliability.

Qualifications

MC licence (minimum two years experience).

BFM accreditation and logbooks.

Previous linehaul and/or night driving experience (preferred).

Strong knowledge of Melbourne to Sydney corridors.

Ability to meet tight delivery schedules.

Physically capable of handling curtains and straps.

Excellent safety awareness and work ethic.

Sound knowledge of fatigue management, DG, and chain of responsibility.

Willingness to complete a pre‑employment medical and National Police Check (paid for by Border Express).
