Associate (3–4 PQE) Insurance Litigation (Financial Lines & Professional Indemnity), Melbourne

Kennedys is seeking a high‑calibre Associate (3–4 PQE) to join our growing Melbourne practice, working closely with partners Nicole Wearne, Mark Attard and Ganga Narayanan. This is an excellent chance to join a market‑leading insurance team, acting for insurers, underwriters, and corporates across a broad range of defence insurance matters, with a particular focus on professional indemnity and financial lines.

Responsibilities

You will work on a diverse mix of complex and high‑value claims, including:

Professional indemnity matters across a range of professions

Financial lines disputes, including D&O;, regulatory defence and management liability

Coverage advice and litigation

Large‑scale, technically complex insurance disputes

You will have hands‑on responsibility from the outset, including direct client exposure, strategic input on matters and the chance to collaborate across our national and global network.

Qualifications

Has 3–4 years' PQE with strong experience in insurance litigation, ideally within skilled liability or financial lines

Demonstrates robust technical skills and sound judgement

Confident managing matters and engaging directly with clients

Thrives in a collaborative, high‑performing team environment
