Resource Manager | Recycling & Logistics (Melbourne)

A growing business within the recycling and resource recovery sector is looking to appoint a Resource Manager to help lead and shape a critical part of its operation. This role sits right in the middle of the business and plays a major part in keeping operations moving, materials flowing, customers serviced, and opportunities growing. The position has been designed for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants the chance to build on what already exists rather than simply maintain it. While the role has a solid operational and logistics focus today, the long-term opportunity is much bigger. The business is looking for someone who can grow with the role, improve systems and processes, strengthen relationships across the industry, and eventually step into broader leadership responsibilities over time. What You'll Be Doing Coordinating inbound material and operational activity across multiple sites Working closely with transport operators, suppliers, demolition teams, and site managers Supporting commercial decisions around pricing, cartage, and material flow Helping improve systems, communication, reporting, and operational efficiencies Building stronger relationships across the industry to support future growth Playing a key role in the ongoing development of the function and broader operation What We're Looking For Highly organised Commercially aware Practical and hands‐on Comfortable making decisions Able to manage competing priorities Strong with people and communication Looking for long‐term growth Experience across recycling, quarrying, civil, transport, plant hire, waste/resource recovery, bulk haulage or other fast‐paced heavy industry environments is highly desired and would transfer well.
