About the Facility Macleod Aged Care is a 52–bed residential aged care home in Macleod, Melbourne, close to public transport and local amenities. The home offers comfortable accommodation, communal lounges and a supportive, community‐focused care team. We are looking to join our aged care team at Macleod Aged Care, in a (casual) capacity. About the Role We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner / Laundry Assistant to join our aged care team. In this hands‐on role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable workplace for residents while also ensuring laundry services are delivered to a high standard. This is a fast‐paced, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a supportive team, and making a meaningful difference every day. What You Will Be Doing Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas Wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing and facility linen Ensure correct handling, sorting, and labelling of laundry items Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and cleanliness at all times Manage waste disposal and restocking of cleaning and laundry supplies Operate cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently Work collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to support a homely environment What You Will Bring Previous experience in cleaning or laundry (preferred but not essential) Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced environment Good time management and ability to follow routines and procedures Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks Reliable, positive, and team‐focused attitude Understanding of hygiene and infection control practices (or willingness to learn) A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this Why You Will Love Working with Us Real career pathways, with opportunities to grow within the company Ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to learn on the job Supportive, approachable leaders who listen and support A friendly, inclusive team that enjoys working together, celebrates achievements, and supports one another Access to an Employee Assistance Program for additional support when you need it A values driven culture where your ideas are welcomed and your hard work is recognised Ready to Make a Real Difference?
