School Cleaner / Supervisor Inner South East Melbourne

About The Role

We are excited to announce a current partnership with a prestigious school located in Adelaide's inner south‐east. We are now seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to commence immediately, overseeing afternoon cleaning operations across this large, high‐profile site. This is a working supervisor role, you will both lead the team and complete your own allocated cleaning areas each shift. You will oversee a team of up to 8 cleaners on peak days, with reduced staffing on lighter scope days. The role commences from 3pm Monday
- Friday, approximately 24 hours per week. As the Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the on‐site lead during the afternoon shift. You will coordinate daily tasks, support your team, and ensure all areas meet required cleaning standards, while also completing your own cleaning duties. This role suits someone who enjoys being hands‐on, leads by example, and takes ownership of both quality and team performance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of approximately 8 cleaners

Complete allocated cleaning areas as part of your shift

Coordinate daily tasks and ensure all scheduled cleaning is completed

Conduct cleaning inspections and address issues promptly

Provide on‐the‐job guidance, support and training to team members

Ensure high standards in classrooms, bathrooms, offices and high‐touch areas

Manage consumables and ensure amenities are appropriately stocked

Respond professionally to feedback or concerns raised on site

Ensure compliance with site procedures and WHS

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous commercial cleaning experience (school cleaning highly regarded)

Previous experience supervising or leading a cleaning team

Comfortable working in a hands‐on, working supervisor role

Current DCSI Working With Children Check (Mandatory)

Current National Police Clearance (Mandatory)

Solid communication and leadership skills

High attention to detail and pride in work quality

Ability to manage time, staff and priorities effectively

Willingness to lead by example

Own reliable transport

Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
