What you will deliver Lead and deliver genomic surveillance and population genetics research on malaria for a multidisciplinary international team. Design, plan and execute genomic epidemiology experiments and analyses to meet project timelines. Analyse sequencing and epidemiological data; maintain detailed records and report results. Contribute to manuscript preparation and drafting competitive grant applications. Mentor students and junior staff; present at meetings and conferences; support laboratory documentation, ethics/OGTR compliance and OH&S; responsibilities. You may be a outstanding fit if PhD in genomics, bioinformatics, genomic epidemiology, molecular ecology or a closely related discipline. Experienced genomic epidemiologist, molecular ecologist, or bioinformatician with hands‐on sequencing analysis skills. Solid population genetics and statistical analysis experience applied to pathogen genomic data, especially Plasmodium spp. Collaborative, self‐driven, able to lead projects with minimal supervision while supporting team objectives. Proven track record in preparing manuscripts, presenting at conferences and contributing to grant applications.
