Finance Analyst (Melbourne)

Financial Analyst Location: Richmond, Melbourne. Reporting to Group Corporate Finance Manager. What you'll be doing Support research and analysis for strategic projects, capital investment decisions and long‐term planning across Australian and New Zealand operations. Work closely with the Group Corporate finance team and the business to help shape good decisions and disciplined outcomes. Build and review financial models for capital projects, investments and strategic initiatives (including NPV, IRR, sensitivities and scenarios). Develop forward‐looking analysis that goes beyond historical reporting to support future decisions. Support valuation, project management and due diligence activity using agreed Group frameworks. Translate complex financial information into transparent, practical insights for senior leaders. Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand drivers, risks and opportunities. Contribute to consistent tools, templates and ways of working across Corporate Finance. How you connect to the role You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field, and have completed or are currently pursuing a professional qualification (CA/CPA/CFA). Solid foundation in corporate finance/M&A;, financial modelling and investment analysis, with at least 3 years of experience in a corporate or professional services setting, building robust three‐way models and applying tools such as NPV, IRR and scenario analysis to capital projects and strategic initiatives. Comfortable working with forward‐looking analysis, valuations and business cases aligned to Group frameworks and risk settings. Ability to apply technical expertise in a practical way, focusing on commercial drivers, maintaining discipline and transparency, and providing analysis that stands up to review while supporting better business outcomes. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build trusted relationships across finance and operations, listen first, and apply sound judgement in complex situations. Comfortable engaging with leaders who don't speak \"finance\", translating complex analysis into transparent, practical insights that support good decisions.
