Glazier Rope Access Supervisor (Melbourne)

Location: Melbourne, Victoria Employment Type: Full time Salary: AUD $75,000 – $80,000 per year, plus superannuation Employer: City View High Access City View High Access is seeking an experienced and reliable Glazier Rope Access Supervisor to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out glazing installation, replacement, repair and façade maintenance works across commercial, residential and high-access environments. This role requires strong technical glazing skills, a high level of safety awareness, and the ability to work confidently at heights, including through the use of Elevated Work Platforms and rope access systems. Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:
- Supply, preparation and installation of glazing materials and glass systems
- Measuring, replacing and repairing glass panels
- Removal, handling and safe disposal of damaged or broken glass
- Glass replacement and repair works for windows, façades, doors, frames and related glazing systems
- Façade glazing maintenance, inspections and minor remedial works
- Silicone sealing, weatherproofing of glazing systems
- Application of sealants, gaskets, fixings and related glazing components
- Preparation of work areas, tools, materials and access equipment before installation works
- Assisting with high-access glazing tasks using rope access techniques and/or Elevated Work Platforms
- Identifying defects, leaks, damaged seals, cracked glass, failed glazing units and other façade or window issues
- Ensuring all glazing works are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with job specifications
- Following workplace health and safety procedures, safe work method statements and site requirements
- Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and professional condition Skills and Experience Required Applicants must have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Glazier or in a similar glazing installation, glass replacement or façade maintenance role
- Demonstrated experience in glass installation, glass replacement, glazing repairs and façade glazing maintenance
- Rope access experience, with a minimum of 2,500 documented and verifiable rope access logbook hours
- Valid EWP licence/ticket suitable for the type of equipment required for the role
- Valid Working at Heights ticket
- Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices when working at heights
- Ability to read measurements, follow job specifications and complete works with accuracy
- Ability to safely handle glass, glazing materials, tools, sealants and access equipment
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work across different job sites in Melbourne and surrounding areas Desirable The following will be highly regarded:
- Experience working on commercial buildings, façades, high-rise buildings or difficult-access glazing projects
- Experience with silicone sealing, waterproofing and façade leak rectification
- Rope access certification such as IRATA or equivalent
