THE POSITION Reporting directly into the executive leadership team, this newly created CFO position has been established to help scale the finance function to a current operational unit based reporting function. This is a highly influential hands‑on executive role where you will work closely with leadership and the board to shape financial strategy, enhance internal systems, reporting frameworks, risk oversight for trading, investment decision making, and long‑term growth initiatives. You will lead the finance function across multiple business units and legal entities while helping drive greater visibility, commercial rigour, automation, and operational efficiency throughout the group. Key Responsibilities
- Leading the full finance function including reporting, consolidation, treasury, forecasting, and financial planning
- Building advanced business‑unit reporting frameworks and strategic financial models
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and executive reporting
- Supporting investment and capital allocation decisions across growth initiatives and new markets
- Providing commercial finance support around pricing, margins, and strategic business decisions
- Supporting trading risk oversight, financial controls, and governance frameworks
- Improving finance systems, automation capability, and operational efficiency
- Mentoring and developing the existing finance team

- Executive salary package with performance incentives EXPERIENCE NEEDED To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, Head of Finance, or Financial Controller
- Experience in driving efficiency in reporting, automation and scalability
- Strong commercial finance and planning capabilities
- Experience within designing business unit reporting structures
- Demonstrated experience improving reporting, systems, automation, or finance transformation initiatives
- Robust stakeholder engagement and board‑facing communication skills
- Ideally experience with visibility on trading risk management
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on when required Experience within carbon energy trading, financial services, trading environments, energy markets, environmental commodities, or related sectors will be highly regarded.
