The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne! As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new partnerships with insurers, brokers and all key stakeholders, to accelerate growth for our VIC Workers Compensation business. With strong growth ambitions, we are seeking a candidate who brings an established network within the personal injury sector of the insurance market. This role will give you the opportunity to work within an organisation where decisions can be made quickly and locally and supported by an Executive team strongly focused on growth. Key Responsibilities You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:
- Generating new and profitable business relationships utilising your existing network.
- Maintaining a pipeline of solid new business leads and managing them through to conversion and onboarding.
- Developing your personal brand and credibility within the insurance market.
- Providing comprehensive guidance to clients who have complex requirements.
- Comfortable negotiating with clients and stakeholders across all organisational levels (e.g. Senior Executives and Directors). Requirements
- Business development and relationship management experience gained within the insurance, personal injury or broker market.
- Demonstrated ability to develop B2B relationships and create new partnerships.
- A sound understanding of claims management principles and related regulatory requirements.
- Well connected with sufficient networks and existing relationships.
- Sound understanding of the workers compensation insurance market.
- An innate understanding and passion for sales and growth.
- A background in the management of multiple large opportunities through a pipeline and ability to convert these opportunities.
- Acute commercial and business acumen skills.
- Experience using Salesforce. Benefits
