2 DAY IHC EDUCATOR - ECEC (15905) THE BASIN (Melbourne)

Job Details Position: Early Childhood Educator (2 days per week) Children: 6- and 4-year-olds. Rate: $37.84
- $42.65 per hour (L1‑L3), including tax and super. Employer covers insurance & WorkCover and processes tax and super payments. Schedule:
- Wednesday: 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
- Friday: 1:30 pm – 6:30 pm Flexibility with times. May flex up to three or four full days during school holidays. Responsibilities Guide children through enriching, developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to individual needs, followed by calm wind‑down activities to help them transition after a busy day. Incorporate diverse interests such as Lego, reading, parks, trampoline play, bike riding, remote‑control cars, and imaginative play into activities that support creativity, problem solving, language development, and social interaction. Provide a warm, supportive, and engaging home setting. Demonstrate a calm, mature, and steady presence to help children feel supported and secure. Optionally support neurodiverse children and pursue knowledge in this area where possible. Qualifications & Requirements
- Either be working toward or hold a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or other IHC relevant ACECQA‑approved qualifications (e.g., Bachelor of Primary Education) and be registered with the relevant state authority board.
- Provide at least 3 references.
- Hold WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid certificates.
- Have a car and valid driver’s licence.
- Be willing to commit for at least 12 months.
- Full working rights in Australia. Visa 190 or 186 considered; 417 & 462 visas not required. Other Driving required. Candidate should be passionate about supporting children’s development, bringing a grounded and positive approach, and seeking a meaningful role where they can make a genuine difference in children’s daily lives.
