Position: Motor Mechanic | Position Type: Full time | Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum | Location: Narre Warren, VIC Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join their team in Narre Warren, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure secure and effective operation. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components.
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts for inspection and repair.
- Repair or replace worn and defective components and reassemble mechanical systems according to manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune‑ups, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Reassemble engines and vehicle parts after repairs are completed.
- Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts to ensure proper performance and vehicle safety.
- Use computer diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle systems and components.
- Inspect vehicles and identify work required to meet roadworthiness standards.
- Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls when required. Requirements
- Certificate III and Certificate IV (or higher) in a relevant automotive trade qualification.
- Minimum 12 months’ experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
- Current valid driver’s licence.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment.
- Positive problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
