Senior Design Architect/Lead (Aspiring Associate) This Melbourne-based opportunity is suited to a design-focused Registered Architect with 10+ years’ experience and a solid balance of design, technical, and project leadership capability. As a key member of the team, you’ll lead front-end project stages across a diverse portfolio, coordinating high-quality Town Planning packages and presentations, managing project resourcing and budgets, and building strong client relationships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and the ability to confidently lead small to medium-sized project teams within a collaborative, design-led practice. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of multi-residential projects from Feasibility and Concept through to Town Planning and early Design Development
- Develop creative, commercially informed design solutions with strong planning outcomes
- Lead client presentations, stakeholder engagement, and consultant coordination
- Manage project programs, budgets, resourcing, and project outcomes in collaboration with leadership and operations teams
- Mentor and support project teams, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and professional growth
- Contribute to design reviews, competitions, studio initiatives, and continuous improvement across the practice
- Ensure projects align with relevant codes, regulations, sustainability principles, and quality standards About You What You Bring

- Registered Architect with 10+ years’ experience
- Strong design portfolio with demonstrated experience across multi-residential projects
- Experience working with developers and commercially driven project outcomes
- Robust track record delivering projects across multiple stages
- Experience leading small to medium-sized project teams
- Excellent documentation and construction administration skills
- Thorough understanding of the NCC, BADS, and project delivery processes
- Highly proficient in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Enscape
