Civil Engineering Technician Location: Clyde North, Victoria 3978 – office and other sites Employment: Full‑time, minimum 38 hours a week Salary: $80,000 to $95,000+ superannuation per annum Key Responsibilities 1. Collect, analyse and interpret field and engineering data for civil infrastructure projects including car parks, bus stops, footpaths, driveways, drainage systems and road reinstatement works delivered by Infra Projects. 2. Conduct site investigations, including measurements of levels, gradients, dimensions, soil conditions, traffic movement and existing utility locations to support project planning and design. 3. Perform engineering calculations, computations and quantity take‑offs for materials such as asphalt, concrete, pavement layers, kerbing, fencing and associated civil works. 4. Assist in estimating material costs, plant requirements and labour inputs to ensure project works remain within approved specifications, council requirements and contract provisions. 5. Inspect civil engineering works on‑site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, Australian Standards, and Infra Projects’ quality and safety requirements. 6. Organise and support maintenance and repair activities for civil works, ensuring defects, reinstatement and rectification works are completed to specification. 7. Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials including soil, asphalt, concrete and aggregates, and interpret test results in line with Australian Standards. 8. Coordinate with NATA‑accredited laboratories for off‑site testing and maintain accurate records of material certificates, compliance reports and test documentation. 9. Set up, calibrate and operate technical survey and geotechnical instruments used for site measurements, set‑out, levels and construction verification. 10. Prepare and update technical drawings, sketches and plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for infrastructure works including drainage, pavement layouts, car parks and accessibility upgrades. 11. Review engineering drawings, council standard specifications, local council requirements and other DDA compliance standards to ensure construction feasibility and regulatory compliance. 12. Assist in planning and reviewing work programs, construction methodologies and staging plans to ensure accuracy, feasibility and effective project delivery. 13. Maintain detailed project records including site diaries, inspection reports, photographic evidence, test results, and as‑built documentation for project handover. 14. Ensure all works comply with Australian Standards, council approvals, WHS requirements, including reporting non‑conformances and assisting corrective actions. Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3‑year post‑qualification experience in relevant area.
- AQF bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Essential Criteria

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in technical, administrative and financial tasks.
