Description
Job Details Fixed term position for 24 months. Full‑time minimum FTE 0.2, maximum 0.3; part‑time minimum FTE 0.1, maximum 0.15. Salary level A.2 – $92,243 (pro rata for part‑time) p.a. plus 17% superannuation. GRAA role is available exclusively to graduate researchers enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching, consultations and assessment using subject guidelines, Canvas resources and direction from Subject Coordinators.
- Support student learning and wellbeing through responsive communication, explicit guidance, timely feedback and helpful learning resources.
- Contribute to research projects by reviewing literature, collecting and managing data, and assisting with ethics and publications.
- Assist academics with competitive grant applications, including drafting narratives, preparing budgets, and supporting reporting and acquittals.
- Engage in University‑supported professional development to strengthen teaching practice and advance an academic career. Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Doctor of Philosophy student in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music; confirmation passed; at least 12 months remaining in candidature.
- Discipline expertise in one or more of the following program areas: Acting and Theatre, Musicology and Ethnomusicology, Film and Television, Indigenous Arts and Culture, Interactive Composition, Music Psychology, Music Therapy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident in engaging students and collaborating within teaching teams.
- Ability to manage competing tasks effectively, meeting deadlines while balancing graduate research commitments with part‑time academic responsibilities.
