Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Melbourne or Sydney based,Permanent Full Time Flexible working arrangements Diverse and inclusive teams The Role The purpose of the Accountant is to ensure that timely and accurate financial control and external reporting requirements of Insignia super funds are delivered to management and regulators within agreed timeframes and conform to best practice. Key Responsibilities: Prepare general ledger reconciliations. Prepare APRA returns in a timely manner. Make fund levelpayments All work papers are prepared in accordance with Insignia accounting and tax policies and best practice. Assist with Management and Board reporting to ensure they are prepared accurately and within agreeddeadlines Ensuring compliance requirements are met, the provision of accurate reporting and to enable required control mechanisms. Maintain accounting files, update various documents and spreadsheets and databases when and asrequired Proactive engagement with the external audit process asrequired Prepare financial statements for entities at year end and whenrequired Provide accounting support, analysis and investigation for current standards orprojects To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess: Degree Qualified or high level of industry operational experience CA/CPA qualification or progression towards Intermediate skills in Microsoft office products Experience in funds management / financial services industrydesirable Positive attitude with ability to be flexible and work well withteam Client service skills and client firstthinking Familiarity with financial regulations Ability to network and stay informed about industrytrends Ability to develop detailed financial documentation and craft/edit documents while ensuringaccuracy Ability to critically assess processes and develop better and more efficientpractices Proficiency in tools including MS Excel and PPT Ability to use data analytics tools such as power query and power BI would be anadvantage Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in Australia, and at a minimum be required to undertake police and basic credit checks as a condition of employment.
