As part of the Trade Counter team (known as Branch Staff) at the Port Melbourne Actrol branch, you’ll help engineers, project managers and other tradespeople access the products they need to maintain essential services, as well as undertaking other tasks that keep customers happy and the branch running smoothly. Become a trusted Trade Counter Assistant quickly and have the opportunity to move within the region and support other branches to share your expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities
- Providing customer service and information about products
- Providing quotes both in person and over the phone
- Undertaking pick packing and stock control activities
- Helping keep the branch tidy and safe
- Making occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle
- Continuing upskilling with tailored on‑the‑job training initiatives Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoys helping customers both in person and over the phone
- May not have experience in this space, but is willing to learn
- Can pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate
- Can use a computer and is happy to learn recent systems
- Has a clean valid driver’s licence and is open to working various shifts, including weekends
