- Strategic Planning – develop and implement crime prevention strategies to protect the university community and assets.
- Investigations Management – lead investigations into criminal activity on campus and liaise with law‑enforcement agencies as required.
- Event Security – manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining the university’s reputation.
- Training and Development – prepare and deliver high‑quality security training and awareness programmes for university stakeholders.
- Risk Analysis – conduct security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety. Qualifications and Experience
- Seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law‑enforcement or a similar field.
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
- Substantial senior‑level experience in security management or law‑enforcement.
- Expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering and witness interviewing.
- Strong risk analysis and security planning skills for major events.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.
- Experience in developing and implementing crime‑prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in analysing security data and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Leadership ability in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
- Relevant qualifications in law‑enforcement or security (desirable).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
