- Full‑Time (Monday to Friday working hours) | Ongoing contract of employment.
- Annual Salary PW3 $60,416 – $65,237 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Waverley Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport. The Security Services Department is dedicated to ensuring a secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors. Our mission is to promote safety through proactive monitoring, incident response, and emergency management. Based at Waverley, the Security Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a small team of contracted security guards who play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role includes proactive monitoring of campus facilities and parking, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols to ensure a secure learning environment. As one of the first points of contact for visitors to the Institute, the position also requires a professional and customer‑focused approach to security access and parking services. Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of contracted security guards.
- Monitor and respond to incidents, CCTV, alarms, and emergency situations.
- Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and enforce campus security protocols.
- Manage access control systems, keys, and parking permits with sound judgment.
- Maintain accurate reporting, investigations, and incident documentation. Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively, guide, and support teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and crisis management skills, with excellent attention to detail and proven administrative and reporting capabilities.
- Practical knowledge of modern security systems and related technologies, including experience with CCTV, Forcefield, Passage Point, Assure ID, and OurFleet.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Certificate II in Security Operations, Private Security Individual Licence – Crowd Control and Security Guard, current driver’s licence and Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an employee Working with Children Check and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
