Valuer – Position Details Title: Valuer Location: Melbourne – CBD Work Type: Full Time, Ongoing Requisition ID: 10751 Date Posted: 22 May 2026 About the Role Provide expert valuation advice and undertake complex, sensitive and time‑critical valuations for government agencies and public sector clients. Support infrastructure projects through detailed property research, valuation advice and coordination of external valuation services. Build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate and resolve valuation matters to achieve positive outcomes. Contribute to policy development, continuous improvement initiatives and the maintenance of high valuation standards and quality systems. Offer strategic advice to clients and support presentations on Government Land Policy. Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) status and membership with the Australian Property Institute (API) – Mandatory
- Knowledge of the Valuation of Land Act 1960, Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986, Planning and Environment Act 1987 and other relevant legislation – Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of government processes and land administration matters – Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification – Highly Desirable
- Driver’s License – Mandatory Selection Criteria
- Proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency and service delivery.
- Effective communication skills with influence, adapting style to suit different audiences and building support for ideas and outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to understand stakeholder needs and tailor communication.
