The Opportunity As Retail Manager, you'll be the engine room for retailer engagement and centre performance at a vibrant mixed‑use destination comprising majors, an entertainment venue, and around 60 stores. You'll build strong relationships with your portfolio of retailers, champion customer experience, and help shape strategies that lift turnover, strengthen satisfaction, and maximise net property income. You’ll be the connector between retailers, customers, marketing, operations, and the broader asset team, ensuring the centre runs smoothly, looks exceptional, and performs at its peak. This role suits a commercial/retail property qualified who loves variety, thrives in a fast‑thinking team, and enjoys being the go‑to person who makes things happen. What You’ll Own
- Build robust partnerships with retailers to drive performance and collaboration.
- Lead tenancy administration, onboarding, and pre‑trade compliance.
- Keep retailers informed through newsletters and tailored communication. Lease & Tenancy Management
- Manage lease variations, assignments, and usage adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with lease obligations and presentation standards.
- Drive Pop Up income targets and maintain tenancy records. Operations & Presentation
- Partner with the Operations Manager to uphold visual and presentation standards.
- Champion continuous improvement across the centre.
- Identify retailers needing marketing or visual merchandising support.
- Deliver accurate sales reporting and financial analysis.
- Support income‑generating opportunities and oversee percentage rent.
- Maintain centre‑controlled debt and negotiate outcomes with retailers. Retail Coordination & Customer Experience
- Lead onboarding and integration of new retailers and pop‑ups.
- Resolve operational issues and ensure compliance with centre policies.
- Facilitate communication between centre management and retailers. What You Bring We are looking for a dynamic, commercial property professional with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. You might be working for a commercial agency looking to specialise, or a Retail Manager or equivalent working already for another centre.
- Proven ability to build solid partnerships with retailers, contractors, and community stakeholders.
- Experience and relevant qualifications in commercial/retail property management or a related commercial environment.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills to liaise with 'Mums and Dads' tenants through to larger blue‑chip retailers, across an eclectic, multi‑cultural environment.
- Commercial acumen, problem‑solving capability, and confidence in making decisions.
- Excellent organisational, compliance, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a small, energetic, on‑site, fast‑moving team where collaboration is key!
