Food Service Assistant (Rosanna) (Melbourne)

About Us Assisi Aged Care is a not for profit, faith based provider of residential aged care services located in Melbourne's North East, in the leafy suburb of Rosanna. Assisi specializes in providing services for Melbourne's elderly Italian community, and is situated amongst expansive garden surrounds. The Role We are looking for two reliable individuals to provide high quality food service for our resident population. Our ideal candidate must have permanent work rights in Australia and be looking for a reliable and ongoing role. Some catering experience is required, however on the job training will also be provided. Candidates must be available to work on a permanent part time basis and be able to commit to all shifts advertised in the position (below indicated). Additional shifts may be offered to cover leave at short notice, but there is no guarantee of work above these standard hours. Role 1
- 25.5 hrs per fortnight Week 1 and 2
- Monday & Tuesday 3.00pm to 7.15pm;
- Wednesday 3.45pm to 8.00pm Role 2
- 43.5 hrs per fortnight Week 1 and 2
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 7.00am to 2.45pm Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving food and beverages in accordance with the Food Safety Program, resident preferences and dietary requirements and the relevant duty list. Key Selection Criteria
- Protected Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001)
- Minimum 6-12 months food service experience required
- Experience in residential aged care services (preferred)
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Effective customer service skills
- Permanent right to work in Australia, or Australian citizenship
- Intermediate level English proficiency required for effective communication with residents and team members
- Ability to speak Italian (desirable)
- Willingness to undergo a national police check prior to commencement. Benefits
