Your New Role and Responsibilities We are looking for a Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team to support end‑to‑end testing activities across the complex, interconnected systems. The role is responsible for planning, designing, and executing system and integration testing activities with robust emphasis on the documentation, validation, governance, stakeholder coordination and consolidated reporting. The role will require the ability to effectively communicate with all members of the team, ranging from technical personnel to programme leadership. The role includes executing tests across a variety of software products, their interfaces and network & infrastructure configurations, and identifying and managing resulting defects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance test plans, strategies, and reusable specialised test procedures, including identifying and creating required test data.
- Analyse and verify requirement statements to ensure clarity, correctness, feasibility, implementability, and testability, while maintaining end‑to‑end traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and test reports.
- Prepare and conduct test readiness reviews, and execute end‑to‑end testing across interconnected systems throughout the software development life cycle.
- Create, document, and manage test defects, including detailed reproduction steps, severity and priority assignment, and collaborate with development teams to drive defect closure.
- Facilitate defect management processes such as logging, triaging, retesting, and maintaining accurate defect tracking and reporting.
- Develop test reports and collaborate with the broader program team and customer to achieve program milestones within defined scope, quality, and schedule. About You and What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering
- This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an NV‑1 security clearance but be willing and able to uplift to an NV‑2 security clearance.
