We’re currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Electrical Estimator to work with our client, a well-established electrical contractor delivering complex projects across rail, utilities, and infrastructure. Based in Melbourne, this role involves preparing and managing tenders for major electrical and infrastructure projects across Victoria. Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end estimating activities across electrical and infrastructure tenders
- Complete quantity take-offs, BOQ reviews, and detailed cost planning activities
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project scope, risk, and pricing strategy
- Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, and proposal documentation
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing across major infrastructure projects
- Conduct constructability reviews and identify project risks and opportunities
- Prepare pricing schedules and complete submissions using estimating software platforms
- Attend tender briefings, client meetings, and site inspections where required
- Support project handover activities following successful tender awards Skills and Requirements
- Electrical trade qualification or equivalent industry background
- Prior estimation experience within electrical infrastructure, rail, utilities, communications, ITS, OT, or related projects would be highly regarded
- Ability to interpret electrical, communications, and civil drawings and specifications
- Experience preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates
