Gym Instructor (Cert IV Min) (Melbourne)

Somerville Recreation Centre is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gym Instructor to join our team. The role offers excellent work/life balance with morning, evening, and weekend shifts and opportunities for professional development within an entrepreneurial leisure organization. Responsibilities
- Deliver high levels of customer service and support to club members.
- Provide personal training sessions to members on a needs‑based basis.
- Coach groups through high‑energy functional training sessions.
- Ensure the safe use of fitness equipment and correct members’ technique.
- Utilize information technology and smartphone applications to enhance training delivery. Essential Requirements
- Minimum Cert IV in Personal Training.
- Minimum of 12 months industry experience.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Valid Working With Children Check.
- Agree to undergo a national police check.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends. Desirable Qualifications
- Ausactive or Physical Activity Australia registration.
- Certification in Yoga and/or Pilates.
- Education in Exercise and Sport Science. Additional Information
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and human movement.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service.
- Results‑driven with a friendly, can‑do attitude.
