The Opportunity As part of the Finance team within La Trobe Financial, we are seeking a motivated and detail‑orientated Accounts Payable/Commissions Officer to manage our commissions and property valuation payments function. Reporting to the Head of Corporate, the AP/Commissions Officer will primarily produce accurate and timely summaries and reconciliations for commissions, investor directed payments (IDPs) and property valuation payment processing. In addition, you will assist with a range of ad‑hoc and project‑based tasks which will see you engaging with stakeholders across Finance and the broader La Trobe Financial business. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly commissions and IDP summaries. This culminates at End of Month (EOM); however preparation commences several days earlier with various pre‑EOM checks and information requests issued to RECF and AM Divisions.
- Regular contact with key internal stakeholders across Finance, RECF and AM during the monthly commissions/IDP/valuations cycle, to ensure data integrity and payment accuracy.
- Monthly reconciliations across a number of accounts payable ledgers, in particular commissions, IDPs and property valuations.
- Preparation of multiple payment files across a monthly cycle.
- Preparation of purchase orders and timely payment of invoices.
- Presenting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on a monthly basis in relation to the above responsibilities. About You
- Finance One experience will be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Intermediate user of MS Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
