Projects Lawyer (Front-End) - International Law Firm (Melbourne)

Associate/Senior Associate – Project Development Our client is a leading international law firm with a highly regarded Projects, Energy & Infrastructure practice. The team is consistently recognised for advising on complex, high-value and cross-border transactions, acting for sponsors, developers, lenders and government entities. The practice covers a broad range of sectors, including renewable energy, traditional power, mining, transport and digital infrastructure, and is at the forefront of the energy transition landscape. You will work closely with experienced partners and collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions. The Role This role offers exposure to a wide variety of front-end project development and project finance matters, including:
- Advising on the development, structuring and financing of major infrastructure and energy projects
- Drafting and negotiating key project documentation, including EPC, O&M; and financing agreements
- Supporting sponsors and lenders on large-scale, multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Assisting with commercial strategy and risk allocation across complex project structures
- Working directly with clients and contributing to the delivery of high-profile deals This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in market-leading projects while building strong technical and commercial expertise. About You
- 2–7 years’ post-qualification experience in a leading law firm
- Demonstrated experience in projects, energy & infrastructure law
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service
- Exposure to high-profile, complex matters and top-tier clients
