Mechanical & Electrical Engineers
- Rail (Multiple Roles) We currently have an immediate requirement for multiple Engineers with either an Electrical, Mechanical or similar background to support a major Rail Company in the development and delivery of various Rolling Stock upgrades. Initially a 6-month contract with potential for extension till mid-2026 and beyond, these roles work as key members of the Engineering team that support all Rolling Stock project works within the business, with a strong focus on design, development, integration, validation and ongoing maintenance of systems across multiple fleets. Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake design and development activities whilst ensuring adherence to applicable processes, standards and best practices.
- Develop technical documentation relating to new and upgraded systems and components (e.g. Engineering Changes, Specifications, Work Instructions, BoM etc.).
- Providing technical and process advice, guidance, and governance.
- Developing and supporting inputs to Risk Assessments, FEA, FMECAs, FTAs etc.
- Initial electrical focus – Power modelling/analysis, protection, cabling, routing, mounting etc. Skills and Requirements
- Engineering degree in a Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related discipline.
- RPEng certification is mandatory; CPEng would be beneficial.
- Strong experience in mechanical design, CAD, FEA etc. for the Mechanical role.
- Strong experience in electrical design, low voltage, 12 – 110V DC systems, basic control/switching, cabling, etc. for the Electrical role.
- Experience within Rail or other similar heavy industries (Mining, Oil & Gas, Maritime, Defence, Aviation, Automotive, Automation, Manufacturing etc.) would be highly beneficial.
