Managed Services Solution Architect (Melbourne)

About the Role Managed Services Solution Architect, onsite at an HPE office (preferably Sydney). This role focuses on building IaaS and PaaS “as-a-service” solutions for customers, delivering value through architecture, client engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Develop well‑architected managed service solution designs for IaaS & PaaS, incorporating infrastructure, cloud and security.
- Communicate the financial value and business impact of Managed Services to customers.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external experts to anticipate customer needs.
- Partner with account teams and stakeholders to ensure effective development, deployment, operation, and support of solutions.
- Present and demonstrate HPE products and services to new and existing customers.
- Scope requirements, design solutions, create SOWs and estimate pricing for Managed Services offerings.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert for Managed Services locally and across Australia & New Zealand.
- Lead preparation of compelling responses to RFQ/RFP/RFI requests.
- Negotiate with sales representatives during the sales cycle.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate closely with business leaders, sales, consultants, and architects. About You
- 5+ years experience in operations, managed services, sales, delivery, or architecture.
- Background in financial services or leasing industry, with customer and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to independently develop Statements of Work, pricing and manage deal governance.
- Robust knowledge of end‑to‑end sales process with a track record of closing multi‑million‑dollar deals.
- Solid focus on hardware infrastructure solutions, spanning core, edge and cloud.
- Experience applying architectural methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
- Business, commercial and financial acumen to build tailored solutions and pricing models.
- Professional communication skills, engaging senior customer stakeholders including C‑level executives.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, writing and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
