About The Role As the International Recruitment Officer, you will work as part of the onshore International Recruitment team to drive international student recruitment at Swinburne University of Technology from designated markets, achieving agreed targets. You will recruit high quality, genuine international students across all courses, promote Swinburne’s value proposition and student experience, and ensure all recruitment activity aligns with the University’s risk profile, Genuine Student requirements and visa integrity considerations. This role supports education agents, school recruitment, partnerships and direct recruitment channels to generate applications and increase conversion through to enrolment. You will also contribute to optimising agent management practices, ensuring compliance and delivering a positive future student experience. Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of marketing and international student recruitment and/or admissions practices.
- Experience working with international students, and in a stakeholder relationship marketing capacity using a Customer Relationship Management system. Demonstrated ability to close sales with this target group.
- Sound analytical skills and attention to detail, including an ability to evaluate and interpret complex data and make admissions assessments.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, achieve target outcomes, and resolve problems without supervision and through a demonstrated level of judgement, flexibility and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and liaise effectively with colleagues and clients from all levels and backgrounds and deliver responsive customer service.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including establishing positive organisational relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating ability to work effectively across diverse cultural contexts, influencing skills leading to achievement of successful business outcomes, and developing high‑quality documentation (reports, plans, policies and correspondence). Qualifications
- A degree (Marketing preferred) with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in highly relevant fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Excellent English communication skills and fluency in one or more additional foreign languages used in international student recruitment markets (fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential for one of the roles).
