Product Innovation & Design Manager (Melbourne)

The Role An exciting Innovation Lead opportunity has become available to support the business in assessing and developing a product innovation framework that will ensure commercial success with consumers and distribution partners. You will help drive sales outcomes through effective product innovation and design and continually look for new ways to support an ever‑growing home brand expansion. Offering wide exposure to overseas sourcing, you will be involved in exploring, developing and presenting business cases for new product ideas across multiple brands that ensure the long‑term success of the business. Day to Day As a Product Innovation professional you will have a diverse range of product and business management experience and will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Innovation and Design Leadership: Lead ideation, design‑thinking workshops, experiential learning activities, consultation, bespoke innovation support and innovation projects. Drive a culture of creativity and forward thinking.
- Strategy & Development: Define and execute the product innovation roadmap, focusing on market trends, user experience, and current business models.
- Project Management: Support the full product development lifecycle, including feasibility, prototyping, and commercial launch in conjunction with marketing and product teams.
- Collaboration: Work with overseas sourcing, marketing, and R&D; teams to translate technical capabilities into customer‑focused products.
- Portfolio Management: Analyse product performance metrics and maintain a balanced portfolio of short‑ and long‑term innovations. Skills needed
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to develop evidence‑based business cases for new product.
- Strategic Thinking: A structured and strategic mindset focused on long‑term product innovation and business growth.

- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial analysis, cost‑benefit assessments, and resource allocation.
