- Manage a mixed caseload (summary & indictable matters) in Magistrates’ and County Courts.
- Conduct client interviews, bail applications, pleas, committals, hearings and sentencing submissions.
- Prepare briefs, disclosure, affidavits and liaise with counsel. Family Lawyer Having Unrestricted Practicing License.
- Advise and represent clients in separation, parenting, property settlement and spousal maintenance matters.
- Prepare affidavits, consent orders, financial statements, court applications and attend mediations/court as required.
- Provide sensitive client care and negotiation‑led solutions. Immigration Lawyer
- Advise and represent clients on visas, partner and family visas, skilled migration, employer‑sponsored visas, and review/appeal matters to MRT/AFR/Tribunal.
- Prepare visa applications, sponsorships, ministerial requests, statutory declarations and submissions; manage appeals and tribunal hearings.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of migration law and provide pragmatic client guidance. Conveyancer / Property Lawyer Having Unrestricted Practicing License.
- Handle end‑to‑end residential property transactions: contract review, searches, transfer documents, PEXA settlements and settlement coordination.
- Liaise with lenders, agents and settlement agents and resolve title/transaction issues.
- Unrestricted practising certificate valid in Australia and able to practise in Victoria.
- Minimum 2+ years post‑admission experience in the relevant practice area preferred (earlier‑career candidates with solid capability may be considered).
- Strong drafting, advocacy (where relevant), negotiation and client‑management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Clean professional conduct record and appropriate PI insurance.
- Local court and tribunal experience (Melbourne courts and migration tribunals).
- PEXA experience for property role.
- Migration law practice experience and tribunal advocacy for immigration role.
- Mediation/ADR accreditation (family role) and proven advocacy (criminal role).
