About the Role The Senior Finance Analyst
- FP&A; plays a key role in the Retail Finance team, primarily responsible for managing the financial planning and analysis cycles for BWS. This includes the annual budget process, monthly results cycles, and ongoing forecasting. A core function of this role is to analyse business performance and ensure the integrity of financial data, which is crucial for making informed commercial decisions. Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, preparation and submission of the annual budget and ongoing forecasts. Ensure financial targets are understood and owned by respective functional areas.
- Manage BWS P&L; against budget and forecasts. Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations, including creating the monthly performance pack, tracking against strategic objectives and contributing to Endeavour Group’s reporting cycles.
- Act as a key point of contact for the broader Retail Finance team, Group Financial Planning & Analysis and the BWS Leadership Team. Collaborate with key financial and non‑financial stakeholders to track performance and manage expectations.
- Proactively improve team workflows by identifying system efficiencies, improving processes and introducing innovative analysis. Provide constructive feedback to all areas of the business.
- Work closely with colleagues to assess risks and opportunities against financial targets and provide recommendations for mitigating actions.
- Provide leadership in financial control by managing the brand P&L; at month‑end, including posting relevant journals and coordinating with Finance Shared Services.
- Take ownership of managing brand overhead costs. Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of finance and/or accounting experience.
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualification is essential.
- Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including P&L; management, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close processes.
- Proven ability to analyse and summarise high volumes of data from various sources using robust data analysis and modelling skills.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and simply to a broad audience.
- Strong experience with financial systems and tools, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros) and other systems such as SAP, IBM IPA or Tableau.
