Senior React Developer (Melbourne)

As a Senior React Developer you’ll lead the technical analysis, design, programming, and implementation across operational platform activities. The role involves contributing to solution design and key technical decision-making, while establishing and uplifting engineering practices, governance and mentoring. You will also work closely with the DevOps team to implement and embed best practices across development and delivery. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), or Naarm (Melbourne). What You\'ll Do
- Deliver solutions across the full lifecycle, from simple to complex, following SDLC best practices
- Develop clean, maintainable, and extensible code while enhancing coding standards
- Design and implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality application delivery
- Contribute to estimation, planning, and deployment across environments
- Proactively identify improvements to optimise performance, efficiency, and cost
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and provide technical guidance
- Lead code reviews, solve complex issues, and mentor developers, while supporting agile delivery and fostering a team-oriented team environment What You\'ll Bring
- 7+ years’ experience in frontend development with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience leading design and development of complex, scalable frontend applications
- Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, including component design, state management (Redux/Context), and performance optimisation
- Experience designing and integrating Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers and collaborating with backend teams on APIs
- Strong focus on code quality, including testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), code reviews, and mentoring developers
- Stay current with the React ecosystem, BFF patterns, and modern front end architecture trends
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), with exposure to AWS. What We Offer
