Applications Migration Engineer - Enterprise SaaS Apps …, Melbourne

This leading Enterprise is undertaking a major program of work to consolidate and migrate a large portfolio of SaaS and cloud‑based applications. We’re looking for an experienced Application Migration Engineer to support the end‑to‑end migration of a diverse application landscape across productivity, data, analytics, DevOps, and customer engagement platforms. This role blends technical understanding with strong coordination and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work across multiple teams and vendors to ensure each application is assessed, planned, migrated, validated, and handed over smoothly. What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the end‑to‑end migration process for a portfolio of SaaS and Cloud applications.
- Conducting technical assessments: integrations, identity/auth, data flows, dependencies, and environment readiness.
- Supporting configuration updates, connection changes, API key rotations, webhook updates, and SSO/SCIM adjustments.
- Ensuring each application follows the agreed migration playbook and governance standards.
- Maintaining documentation, risks, issues, and progress tracking across all assigned applications.
- Working closely with internal tech teams, business stakeholders, and vendor support teams to plan and execute migrations.
- Coordinating workshops, gathering requirements, and validating migration readiness.
- Managing change control processes, documentation, approvals, and communication for Apps migration initiatives.
- Supporting post‑migration validation and troubleshooting, along with any incident management aspects. Technical skills you’ll need:
- Whilst you don’t need to be a deep specialist in every Apps platform within the SaaS portfolio, you must be comfortable working across a modern SaaS and cloud eco‑system. What you’ll bring:
- Experience supporting Enterprise Application migrations, SaaS transitions, or cloud‑based application onboarding.
- Ability to manage multiple applications in flight and keep workstreams moving with structure and clarity.
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM provisioning, and IDP integrations (Entra, Okta, Salesforce IDP).
- Technical awareness across modern SaaS platforms such as Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Salesforce, Stripe, PayPal, Braze, Workday, Monday.com, GitHub , and similar tools.
- Familiarity with data and analytics ecosystems including Snowflake, PowerBI, DBT, Airflow, and AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM).
- Ability to work with API keys, webhooks, integration endpoints, and environment configuration updates.
- Comfort interpreting architecture diagrams, dependency maps, and vendor documentation.
- A structured approach to change control, release processes, documentation, and risk management.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, and being comfortable working with vendors, internal departments, and technical teams. Why this role?
