Financial Controller - Retail (Melbourne)

Our client is a successful, medium sized retailer that has experienced strong growth in recent years. They are a proud Australian owned business that focusses on high quality products to their customers. As Financial Controller (2IC to CFO), you will play a critical role in the Group’s strategic goals, being a key commercial business partner to our retail and wholesale businesses whilst enhancing the end to end finance function. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, your role is highly visible and is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of the Group through leading the accounting function, ensuring effective controls and procedures are in place and providing accurate and timely reporting to support commercial decision-making. Your Key Responsibilities Include:


- Leading the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting process
- Leading month end reporting, ensuring financial integrity of the accounts
- Business partnering closely with the leadership team to offer commercial analysis to support growth strategies
- Manage annual financial reporting close, including tax
- Support CFO in key strategic initiatives You will be a determined and career-driven individual who is passionate about getting into the detail as well as providing strategic support to the CFO. Ideally you will have commenced your career within a chartered firm and have since gained commercial experience within industry (product oriented sector). Additionally, you will be personable, have excellent communication skills as your ability to interact and influence key senior stakeholders will be critical to your success.
