Social Media Manager (Pt 3 Days) (Melbourne)

This is a part‑time Social Media Manager role (3 days per week for 6 months). Two days per week you will be working alongside the client in Port Melbourne, and on the third day you will be with the agency team, in Melbourne CBD. This role sits within the Content team and is dedicated to managing and growing the client's presence across a variety of social media channels. The Social Media Manager will serve as the social expert and primary point of contact for the client, working across content ideation, creation, scheduling, community management, and performance reporting. Responsibilities
- Refresh the client's social media content formats and manage the always‑on content calendar.
- Identify trends and cultural moments that connect with the client's audience and create relevant content for each social media channel.
- Ensure every piece of content begins with a hook, whether written or visual.
- Brief and work with creative teams to create content and utilise social‑first formats and ideas.
- Shoot and edit content in‑store or on‑site as required.
- Actively engage with customers through community management.
- Report on performance metrics and key insights and adapt content strategy accordingly.
- Be the social expert and point of contact for the client on all social matters. Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in social media management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow organic social media channels across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Experience working directly with clients in a quick‑paced environment.
- Strong copywriting and content ideation skills with a sharp eye for hooks and platform‑native storytelling.
- Proficient in content creation tools; ability to shoot and edit short‑form video and stills in store or on location.
- Data‑literate with experience creating performance reports and translating insights into content decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative brief writing and ability to work collaboratively with designers and creative teams. Benefits
