What is your role? You will work independently and collaboratively with structural engineers and the broader design team to produce coordinated BIM models and detailed documentation across all project stages. Using Revit, you will model and detail a range of structural projects with elements including retention, concrete, reinforcement, timber and steel. Expertise with steelwork, including steel framing and detailing steel connections will be highly regarded. You will take ownership of project delivery working closely with our engineers from concept to construction, leading documentation and coordination, while ensuring model accuracy, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards. You will work closely with our national structural BIM team, contributing to shared workflows, digital coordination, and clash detection processes. - Experience : 7+ years as a BIM Designer / Structural drafter in building structures, ideally with demonstrated steelwork experience.
- Technical skills : Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with Navisworks, family creation, and ACC / Formais a plus.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with Australian Standards, exposure to documentation of a wide variety of building types.
- Attention to detail : A strong eye for documentation quality, design intent and model integrity.
- Collaboration : Ability to work independently and lead documentation and coordination, with excellent teamwork and communication skills across engineers, architects, and clients.
