A great opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully equipped Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Simpson Barracks, Watsonia, Northeast Melbourne, with the prospect to work at RAAF Base Laverton. - Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays

- Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
- Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
- Carry out minor body repairs and trim repairs
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
- Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates About You
- Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
- Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
- Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver’s License
