Baker Bleu is seeking to hire a full time baker to work in its Caulfield North location. About the Company Baker Bleu is Melbourne’s premier artisan bakery. We have a reputation for making unique artisan pastry and baking products using only the finest ingredients and dedication to the natural wonder of sourdough. We are suppliers to other high‑profile restaurants such as Cumulus Inc, Gimlet, Cutler & Co., Rockpool, Cittas & Carlton Wine Room. We have an excellent reputation in our local communities and work with well‑known charity groups in Melbourne. About the role This role is a full time baker's position. It requires enthusiasm, an eagerness and willingness to learn and take direction, teamwork, and cooperation with fellow production team members. Responsibilities
- Thorough understanding of the bread production procedure documents
- Support and assist all members of your team whenever and wherever possible.
- Execute the order of production in a timely and accurate manner for each day.
- Maintain the secure and responsible operation of all equipment used.
- Assist in the preparation and pack‑down of boards and equipment for following days' production. To be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a bakery. Baker Bleu can offer highly competitive above‑award wages, ongoing training and opportunities for career progression. Unlike many retail bakery outlets, there are no night shifts or late‑night finishes. Indicative salary equivalent to $51k to 76k. We pay retail award (baking production) rates & penalty rates, the salary is an indicative equivalent. Salary and Advantages Indicative salary: $60,000.00
