Senior Development Manager - Wind (Melbourne)

We are supporting a leading global advisory and engineering consultancy in the search for a Development Manager – Wind to support the growth of onshore wind projects across Australia. This role will be working closely with developers, investors, and government stakeholders. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading development workstreams and coordinating technical, environmental, and commercial inputs to progress projects from early-stage feasibility through to approvals and investment readiness. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for developers and clients, managing relationships and providing strategic advice across project lifecycles.
- Lead and coordinate end-to-end development activities for onshore wind projects.
- Manage feasibility studies, site identification, and early-stage project assessments.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs across engineering, environmental, planning, and grid teams.
- Support stakeholder engagement with landowners, regulators, and local communities.
- Drive planning approvals and permitting processes. About You
- 5–10+ years’ experience in renewable energy development, ideally within onshore wind.
- Proven experience progressing projects through planning and approvals.
- Strong understanding of the Australian renewable energy market and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working in a client-facing role, managing developer or investor relationships.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination skills.
