Project Engineer (Melbourne)

Project Engineer / SPE – Sth East Melbourne / Gippsland Randstad are partnering with an established civil contractor specialising in critical energy and water infrastructure projects in the Sth east Melbourne and serving the Gippsland Region from Morwell. The Company Tight-knit team delivering high-precision civil works for the energy and water sectors, partnering with upper-tier head contractor clients to deliver essential projects across the state. Role Requirements & Expectations This is a site-based position requiring a commitment to safety and quality project delivery, reporting directly to the Director and Operations Manager. You will possess the following experience and be responsible for:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, ideally within the civil construction sector, with exposure to energy or water infrastructure projects up to $5 million.
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling project performance, including scheduling, budget, quality control, and successful completion of project milestones.
- Taking a leading role on site, driving the daily execution and technical aspects of civil construction works.
- Must have a solid technical background and understanding of civil construction methodologies, standards, and safety regulations.
- Serving as a primary point of contact, maintaining robust relationships and effective liaison with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Championing a culture of safety, ensuring rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and managing site safety operations. A demonstrated commitment to safety excellence is required.
