The Role We’re growing fast and looking for a strategic, relationship-savvy Business Development Manager to help expand and strengthen our gym facility network. You’ll be the driving force behind building and maintaining high-value partnerships with gym and recreation facilities. A key aspect of the role is to establish and nurture gym supplier relationships to ensure ongoing high availability of a quality product offering. Ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our clients and their employees. Responsibilities
- Identify gym facilities required to join the Fitness Passport gym network and develop and maintain profitable programs / agreements with gym facility providers.
- Manage all aspects of the commercial arrangements with gym facility providers including contract development and execution.
- Establish and nurture gym supplier relationships to ensure ongoing high availability of a quality product offering.
- Negotiate with facilities on pricing in the best interests of Fitness Passport ensuring facility relationships remain stable prioritizing long term contracts.
- Work closely with the ANZ Network Development Manager to manage master packages and develop new employer programs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders—including Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, and Facility Support—to align on business goals and deliver a seamless experience.
- Provide timely updates and reporting to senior leadership on network status, changes in the market, and commercial progress.
- Act as the voice of Fitness Passport within the network and represent our values in every interaction. About You
- Genuinely curious and passionate about health, wellness, and fitness.
- 3+ years in account management or commercial partnership roles.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation, reporting, and time management skills.
- Proficient with Excel and CRM/database management tools.
- Experience in the fitness industry or a membership-based business is highly desirable.
- A proactive, energetic team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
