Senior Lecturer, Neuroscience (Melbourne)

About the Role Position: Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience, full‑time, ongoing at Hawthorn campus. Academic Level C salary + 17% super and staff benefits. Work in collaboration with the Course Director, Department Chair and academic colleagues to deliver an advanced teaching program and a dynamic research agenda. Key Responsibilities
- Convene and teach undergraduate units in neuroscience and support the delivery of the Bachelor of Health Science degree.
- Design, manage and deliver high‑quality curriculum that promotes excellence in teaching and learning.
- Develop and run a high‑quality research program aligned with individual expertise.
- Supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students.
- Actively apply for competitive research grants and industry‑supported projects.
- Work collaboratively across the School of Health Sciences to advance the department’s mission and industry partnerships. Qualifications
- Doctoral qualification in Biomedical science, Neuroscience or a related discipline (Neuroscience expertise preferred).
- A teaching qualification is preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of quality research with peer‑reviewed publications and conference presentations.
- Experience in attracting external research funding through grants and industry collaboration.
- Professional skills: academic leadership, resourcefulness, initiative, ability to meet tight deadlines, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Preferred: established record in leading teaching and research within the neuroscience discipline. Benefits
