Team Leader - Records and Property (Melbourne)

Team Leader – Records & Property Lead a busy team that keeps prison records and property running smoothly and support safe prison operations at a major women's correctional centre. About the Role This ongoing, full‑time position is based at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre. Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of accurate prisoner records and release documentation.
- Manage the handling, transfer and storage of prisoner property across the prison.
- Plan and prioritise workloads to support efficient daily operations.
- Complete regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance and improve processes.
- Provide clear advice to staff, courts, police and other government agencies.
- Ensure prisoner records and property processes meet legal and policy requirements. Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and experience using systems such as PTOS, E‑Justice and PIMS.
- Experience leading staff in a correctional or similar environment.
- Good understanding of legislation, policies and operational procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to support an inclusive and respectful workplace.
- Previous records experience is highly regarded; property experience is not required, training will be provided. Compensation $81,496 – $98,955 per year, plus super.
